Welcome to our Tang Soo Do family! We’re a non‑profit club that keeps this traditional martial art alive while building a warm, community‑minded space for everyone. Here’s what we’re all about:

  • Learn real self‑defence: Practical moves that work for any age or fitness level.

  • Grow inside and out: We practise discipline, respect, and perseverance—not just kicks and blocks.

  • Feel at home: Every member is treated like part of the team, whether you’re brand‑new or a black belt.

  • Give back: Seasoned practitioners can mentor others and keep the art thriving.

If you’re curious about martial arts or ready to share your experience, come join us. We’ll help you build confidence, have fun, and discover what Tang Soo Do can do for you!

Yes. We encourage cross-training and maintain friendly links with several independent clubs.

You must check and obtain permission from your doctor and tell the instructor in confidence before class. We’ll adapt drills or suggest alternatives so you can train safely.

Our aim for the club is to have a place where students feel part of a group of friends who train hard together in a fun and enjoyable environment. We will reguarly organise meetups outside of training to encourage a social bonding between our students. Although we take Tang Soo Do very seriouisly, we want everyone to enjoy the training and to look forward to the classes and meeting their colleagues each week.

Common question!

The journey to becoming a black belt is unique for everyone, and can vary from between 3 to 5 years. We strive to train you to be the best that you can be, rather than rushing through the belts to achieve a black belt. At each stage of your journey we want you to stand out during your gradings as an impressive martial artist who has worked hard to achieve the standard they have reached.

Drop us a message via our contact page or speak to an instructor before class—we’re happy to help.

Benefits of
Tang Soo Do

Tang Soo Do offers a whole‑body workout that blends dynamic kicks, powerful hand techniques, and mindful breathing to boost strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular fitness—all while sharpening balance and coordination. Beyond the physical gains, regular practice builds inner confidence and concentration, cultivating discipline that spills into daily life. Students learn to manage stress through controlled movement and respectful etiquette, forging a resilient mindset rooted in perseverance and self‑respect. And because training happens in a supportive, goal‑oriented community, you’ll find genuine camaraderie and encouragement at every belt level. In short, Tang Soo Do empowers you to become stronger, calmer, and more confident—on the mats and far beyond them.
